Task 4: Post-production techniques and processes

To change the image from when i took it to black and white i clicked the image tool, then clicked adjustment and then clicked black and white. I then enlarged the image and centred it on the page so it was acting as the main image. Also, either side of the cover lines I inserted black boxes using the shape tool to give the headlines more focus and to make it stand out. I also used the same tool to create a circled background for the puff. I changed the colour from white to red using the colour change tool to highlight the key features of the magazine on the front cover.

I used the lasso tool and went round the main image to crop it out of the background in order to put him on a different background of my choice. This also made the image less blurry and closer. In order for my text to become more visible and clear, i used drop shadow so the audience will be able to read it. Using the shape tool, i created a circle to highlight a key quote said from the artists interview. I also used the same tool to create a straight line to separate the pages in order for it to look like a double page spread.
